Visit The Pas

The Town of The Pas is a friendly community located 625 kilometres northeast of provincial capital; Winnipeg, in Northern Manitoba. It is home to a variety of attractions and events, such as the Northern Manitoba Trappers Festival, Clearwater Lake Provincial Park, world renowned fishing and hunting, a number of unique locally owned restaurants, lakes, a golf course, and much more!

The Pas is a town of approximately 5500 people, with the neighbouring Opaskwayak Cree Nation located on the north side of the Saskatchewan River, which is the home of the award winning Opaskwayak Indian Days. The trading area that is serviced by The Pas totals approximately 15,000 people making it a service and attraction hub of the area.

The Pas is home to endless adventure being located within 30 minutes of Clearwater Lake which is the second clearest freshwater lake in the world with public beach access points, boat launches, resorts and campgrounds.  In addition to Clearwater Lake, The Pas is located within the Rural Municipality of Kelsey which is home to many more beautiful lakes within a short drive of The Pas, such as Rocky Lake.  The Pas is a year round seasonal attraction, whether it’s -30C in the winter or +35C in the summer, the region boasts many activities suitable for any season. 

Within 30 minutes, visitors can access multiple lakes on which they can embark on a world class fishing trip either with their own boat and gear, or by a local experienced guide at one of the many resorts in the area. In winter, among outstanding ice fishing, groomed x-country ski trails, and snowshoeing trails, The Pas has access points to a large variety of snowmobile trails through the Snowmobile Trail Network with warm up shacks throughout.
