Special Meetings of Council

In accordance with the Procedural By-law of Council, A special Meeting of Council may be called at any time by the Mayor, and notice is sent to all members of Council which outlines the issues of discussion.  A meeting must be called within 24 hours.  In the case of an emergency 2 hours notice is sufficient notice of meeting.  At a Special Meeting, only those matters or subjects mentioned when the meeting was called shall be taken into consideration unless all members of Council are present and if all members unanimously agree by resolution to adding additional items on the agenda.
